Hey Guys! Nicole Gabriel here!
Have you been watching everything going on in the world and you want your voice heard? Are you an expert in something but you’re lacking the necessary crowd-pleasing credentials? How many times have you looked at the state of our world and said “somebody should do something!” And then you are literally aching inside that no one has. You’re likely a way-shower, a light-bearer, a change-maker.
You have watched people stand up with a voice and a strong opinion but what turns it from an option to a fact or better yet…what makes them an expert?
You know, during this last few months I told a few people that I believed I may have come in contact with this COVID virus and there were times I was very ill over the last few years. I had friends that doubted me until they read an article stating that it’s possible the virus has been around a lot longer than originally predicted. So what they read gave them the permission to believe? There is a de-programming that needs to occur collectively. Our news sources have clearly been tainted. But we can complain about the problem…which just gives it more energy or we can be the change-makers we came here to be and we can find a new way to share what we know to be true. We can play the game and “report the news” with our book as a platform in which we stand.
My sickness altered my entire life path. I changed my long-time partner. I changed my home. I also changed my outlook on life. In massive shifts of personal life change where I was at the end of my rope I found a strength inside me that I had buried deep and pulled out and came through. But, I will never be the same person I was during all of that and I’m sure right now you’re feeling some of the same. We’ve now collectively been through many dark nights of the soul and we are aching for change!
I had no voice before I wrote my first book. In fact, I was literally shocked when I went into a yoga teacher training program many years ago and I distinctly recall how it was the very first time my voice was truly ever really heard. It was the first time I was given the floor to speak and everyone in that room held me in love…a kind of love I had never seen before. I was able to hear the breath in the room there was such a silence an intensive listening happening that it nearly took me to tears.
I’ve always been viewed as shy but as I’ve aged I’ve realized that it wasn’t so much shy but I was learning and watching and observing. I wanted to know what inspired people, what was seen as a collective belief of challenge, love, acceptance, and how change was accepted (or not). I’ve always been an observer of people, of nature, of business. But, it never meant I didn’t have a voice. Can you relate?
I believe that we are seeing a great divide amongst people today. We are seeing those that are keeping up with life and business; those that simply aren’t; those who have lost their job; online businesses that appear to be thriving; businesses of a different kind hiring; and we are seeing people tell us this is a great time to go within and have a massive spiritual awakening. We are being told what to do and how to behave based on observation or law. We have been afraid. We have felt great love. We have seen the lies and stories we’ve been told and we are seeking truth. We have mostly been in a sea of unfamiliar and searching to find our way.
In my first book Finding Your Inner Truth I began the discussion indicating that truth for us is based on what is true for us…and this is based on life experience. I shared what I overcame and how I processed seeing the unknown as I went through an awakening of consciousness and maneuvered through so much unknown. I used my book to tell my story but I also used it to give me a voice. I used a slogan: Seek, Trust, Believe, Love. SEEK (THE TRUTH). TRUST (IN GOD). BELIEVE (IN YOURSELF). LOVE (UNCONDITIONALLY)
I opened the book with a few quotes I will share:
“All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”
— Arthur Schopenhauer, German philosopher (1788 – 1860)
“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth, only soft soap and wishful
thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.”
— C. S. Lewis
I began the introduction with:
"Together we will uncover your truth and provide the answers to what the subtitle of this book promises: Discovering Peace When Everything Changes…”
“…let me start by asking you a very important question: How are you going to spend this one unique and precious life you have been given? You may have no power over your circumstances, but you do have control over your mind and how you are going to taste life, enjoy it, and find out the truth about who you are…”
I go on…
Our world is changing, and many of us have been left asking, “Why?” “How?” and “Who?” Life is sometimes not easy, and just getting through the mundane tasks of eating, paying bills, and caring for loved ones is more than enough to handle. But what if within all that, your spirit is calling? What if something within you says, “This is not right,” or “This could be better”?
You are now being called to find your truth. The old systems are shutting down, forcing you to figure out your gifts and purpose here on earth. This process may be leading you to seek in ways that some might call “spiritual” in nature. You are being bombarded with “feel good” quotes on Facebook, new healing modalities, and motivational and spiritual technologies popping out of the woodwork. Which if any of these have you connected to? How is it impacting your life? Is it making you feel better or worse about yourself? Do you want to change?
Change happens constantly in life, whether you plan for it or not. And even when you make the effort to change, it can lead to additional changes you did not foresee or necessarily want.”
“Are you sure you are doing what you are meant to do in this lifetime?
Maybe it took (or is taking) a great shake up for you to find your truth, or maybe you were one of the lucky ones and gracefully eased into it. When you have a great change occur in your life, it can often be hard to figure out where to start putting the pieces back together. A shift in consciousness is about to take place; you are now a part of what I call “The Great Initiation.”
Does any of this sound familiar to what we are going through now? I wanted to walk you though some of this that I wrote about in my first book because I do believe what I was going through back then has prepared me better for what we are collectively going through now.
So, this brings me back to asking you…where do you see your truth appearing? What can you offer to help? Do you have a book in you that can help position you as an advocate for positive change? How about your voice? Is it time to share your expertise, your knowledge? Can you gather your thoughts to have more than just an opinion and how you can help our planet move into this new time with more love, more peace, more grace, more ease, more informed or enlightened? Where can you step up and lead?
And I will leave you with the little metal quote plaque I have had sitting on my desk for many years…
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”
I’m calling out to my tribe of healers, light-bearers, and advocates of change to join me on the journey of writing a book and moving your thoughts into organized mantras, systems, processes, and new ways of being to share with the collective. I’d love to show you how to publish your book you beautiful light being you…
Wishing you peace, love, and light…
